JUNE 2012 MONTHLY UPDATE

What a great month June was!  Full of family fun!

 Elder Taylor Rozier returned from his mission in New Jersey, Spanish Speaking.  Lots of family to greet him!

Grandpa welcomes home his eighth missionary grandson!  We were also able to hear him speak in church twice and that was a real treat!  He gave awesome talks.

This is my granddaughter, Rachel Black who had her Farewell in Alpine, Utah on June 10th and is now in the MTC learning Japanese.  She is going to Fukuoka, Japan.  (Sorry about this small picture.)

This is Bryn, my great granddaughter, who took 8 swimming lessons at Jan Thomas Swim School this past week!  She made amazing progress.  The first 15 minutes of her 1st lesson she was screaming and crying.  After she learned the rules (1-No Crying and 2-Happy Swimming) she was a total trooper and turned into a fish!  Wish I had more pictures.

Another granddaughter, Kari, also took lessons and is coming back for more.  I'll get pictures of her in July.

Another highlight of this month was going to the Shaver Lake Cabin that Jamie and Doug are readying for renting.  Jamie and I were able to think outside the box and do some very creative decorating.  It was so much fun.  She has tons of pictures, but as yet, I have no access to them.  Maybe later.

MAY 2012 MONTHLY UPDATE

May was a happy month with Mother's Day, Marissa's Young Woman's Award and Graduation from Clovis West High School, AND Richard's Birthday!

APRIL 2012 MONTHLY UPDATE

Our main excitement in the month of April was having company from Walnut Creek and Chico.

This is granddaughter Jill with husband Justin and sweet baby Audrey and Bryn (just turned 3).

 Tea Party Pictures!

Kylie and Bryn all dressed in hats and fancy clothes (old curtains.)  It is traditional to wear hats.  Marissa put this "hat" on me and I didn't actually know what it was until I saw the pictures.  Definitely not appropriate for tea parties.

Other good news we received this month includes two missionaries being called into the mission field.  Tanner Rozier was called to Melbourne, Australia Mandarin Speaking.  Rachel Black was called to the Fukuoka Japan Mission.
