Hello to my many fans out there in Blog Land! My husband's daughter, Jill, inspired me to do this "Pilgrim Hat" project with my granddaughter, Kylie (5). This is a picture of Kylie with her apron on. She is ready to humor her Grandma Susan by cooperating in the heretofore mentioned project.

This is a picture of the finished product of the Pilgrim Hat. (Kylie has no idea what a pilgrim is and I had no words to explain it to her that she could relate to or understand!) Heavy Sigh.

This is a pictorial description of the assembly process for a Pilgrim Hat. To do this was her idea!

Another picture of a cooperative Kylie.

We delivered the treats to various people. This is Kylie ringing the doorbell to her cousin's home. They weren't home, so we left them on the bench.

This is Grandpa Doc. He was sawing wood in his shop when the delivery was made.

Grandma Susan survived. Kylie seemed to enjoy herself and the sharing with others. I should point out that finding the Chicklets to use as decoration on the hat was the hardest "ingredient" to find. After four unsuccessful trips to stores, I finally called Jill and was told the Dollar Store had the coveted item.
If you want detailed recipe, please refer to Jill's Blog at Adventuresofgrandmahoney.blogspot.com

Good for you for making them and then giving them to others. They look good. Your granddaughter is adorable.

Wow you even mentioned my blog! You take great pictures. And since you put it all in writing and pictures, Kylie will have this to remember forever. I'm impressed! Kylie looks pleased with herself, even though you barely survived the day.
